The 2023 football season kicked off in Tyrellstown on Saturday morning. The St Brendan's U10 girls put on a brilliant display against a skillful Tyrellstown.

Early pressure from the black and amber team paid off with some fantastic scores from Elise, Ellie and Colleen. St Brendan's were on top and Anna Kelly played a big part in winning and keeping possesion while Clara was like a rock in midfield - nothing got passed her.

The second half brought a spirited challenge from Tyrellstown but the St Brendan's girls prevailed. Saorla won everything in midfield and Elsie made some great passes to set-up scores. Abigail and Dulcie competed strongly up front while Clodagh, Aoibhín and Beau kept it tight at the back. The strong teamwork from St Brendan's allowed Siún to show her skills with a huge second hand performace scoring mutiple times. We lost Aoibhe to sickness but she'll be back next week stronger. A fantastic start to the season for the u10s. This team has a bright future.
