But all good things must come to an end and Na Fianna foil The Female Dark Force’s undefeated 2023 when tasting defeat on a final score of 2-6 to 2-9, but will still have to play the Division 4 League Final after the Championship next month.
On Monday August 14th, The Ladies Football 1st XV were back on action and put last Wednesday disappointment firmly behind them when Kilmacud Crokes were the visitors to Longmeadows in the semi finals of the Division 4 Cup, But Kilmacud left Longmadows empty handed as St Brendan’s ran out 5-15 to 1-12 winners to add a Cup Final to the League Final to their schedule after the Championship.

The team spent the evening in the Recovery Room in Castleknock to ensure legs are fresh for the opening Junior B Championship fixture this Wednesday the 16th away to Foxrock Cabinteely.
And the session in the Recovery Room helped The Female Dark Force the world of good as the team, hoping to win this Championship grade at the 4th time of asking, got off to the best possible start in winning against Foxrock Cabinteely on a 4-9 to 0-4 score line with The Fresh Prince Of Kells Karen O Connell, saving a penalty. Also Sinead ‘Dangermouse’ Reilly, Eimear ‘Slight Return’ Kelly and Aoife ‘The Wild Side’ Kelleher working well together in the full back line to limit Fox Cab to just four points all match.
